Ayunoha (歩乃華), a Japanese YouTuber with more than 500,000 subscribers, announced on July 3 that she has married her longtime partner. In a video titled “32-Years-Old, I Got Back Together and Got Married,” she opened by simply declaring, “So, we got married!”
Ayunoha explained that she began dating her now-husband in 2021, but the relationship went through several rounds of breakups and reconciliations over the following years. She revealed that he is the same man she tearfully discussed in a June 2024 video titled “I Was Dumped by Him at 30,” though she did not disclose his identity at the time. She added that the couple had been living together for about a month before that particular breakup.
According to Ayunoha, her husband proposed on January 7, 2026, her birthday, and the two submitted their marriage registration on July 1. She said it took about six months between the proposal and her public announcement because their history of repeated breakups made her anxious about going public too soon. “Since we’d broken up so many times, I kept thinking about what I’d do if the engagement fell apart, so I couldn’t say anything right away,” she said. “It’s not that I don’t trust him — I was just so worried about being dumped again that it took me a while.”
Later in the video, Ayunoha lifted her shirt to show her stomach and clarified that she is not pregnant, joking that it was “just fat” and asking viewers not to assume pregnancy whenever she appears bloated or has gained weight. Reflecting on her current feelings, she said she never imagined, while filming her breakup video, that she would one day be proposed to by the same man, adding that she now feels a sense of relief.
