ExWHYZ brought their final tour, “ExWHYZ LAST TOUR ‘DANCE YOUR DANCE’,” to a close on July 4 with a sold-out show at Zepp DiverCity (TOKYO) in Odaiba. The ten-date tour, which kicked off in Osaka in May, marked the group’s last run of shows before their planned disbandment on August 31.
The setlist spanned ExWHYZ’s catalog, opening with “xYZ” and “D.Y.D” before moving through fan favorites like “Unknown Sense,” “You & Me” and “Wanna Dance.” For the encore, the group debuted a new song, “00:00,” taken from their upcoming final album “zION,” due out August 26. Between songs, member mikina told the crowd, “Please stay just as you are,” before the group launched into a run of high-energy numbers including “BLAZE” and “DON’T CRY.”
In their closing remarks, member mayu said, “ExWHYZ has always valued live performance above all else. Touring around the country made me realize it’s the fans who complete ExWHYZ’s music.” Yu-ki added that she wants to “pour all the power built up on this tour” into the group’s final show, while maho said she was grateful for “every precious moment” the group has shared with fans.
Alongside the tour’s finale, ExWHYZ announced a string of new farewell events. On August 8, the group will perform all the songs from “zION” at Daikanyama UNIT in Tokyo, followed the same night by a solo DJ set from member mikina. The group also revealed a talk-focused tour across Aichi, Tokyo and Osaka in late July and August, playing on the members’ reputation for lengthy on-stage chatter. ExWHYZ’s disbandment will be marked with a final live show, “ExWHYZ LAST LIVE ‘光’,” on August 31 at Zepp Haneda (TOKYO).
