Japanese rock band Mrs. GREEN APPLE wrapped up its stadium tour “Zenjin Mito to I/mmutable ~ Interlude Chapter ~” on July 5, closing out a run that drew roughly 390,000 fans across six shows in Tokyo and Osaka.
The tour played four dates at MUFG Stadium (Japan National Stadium) in Tokyo and two at Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka. Four of the six shows, including the July 5 finale, were open only to members of the band’s fan club. The finale was livestreamed and also screened at more than 360 movie theaters and karaoke venues across Japan, plus 22 overseas theaters in South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand, bringing the tour’s total reach to about 570,000 people.
The “Zenjin Mito” series began in 2014 as small live-house shows, and this year’s finale landed exactly 12 years after the very first installment. Frontman Motoki Omori (大森元貴), guitarist Koto Wakai (若井滉斗) and keyboardist Ryoga Fujisawa (藤澤涼架) played a career-spanning setlist that mixed early tracks like “StaRt” and “CONFLICT” with recent songs such as “Lilac,” as well as “Carrying Happiness,” the band’s theme song for a Tokyo Disney Resort summer event, performed live for the first time on this tour.
During the finale, Omori told the crowd that the band’s next full-length album already has a title and only one song left to record, with release planned for September 30. Wakai also noted that the band’s fan club, Ringo Jam, is marking its 10th anniversary this year. Near the end of the show, Fujisawa broke down in tears while thanking fans, prompting Omori and Wakai to rush over and hug him on stage.

Mrs. GREEN APPLE is a Japanese rock band formed in 2013 that made its major-label debut in 2015 on EMI Records with the mini-album “Variety,” going on to score hits including “Aoto Natsu,” “Boku no Koto” and “Romanticism.” The band paused activities in 2020 before returning in 2022, and its 2023 song “Que Sera Sera” won the Japan Record Award the same year it made its first appearance on “Kohaku Uta Gassen,” NHK’s annual New Year’s Eve music show. Its 2024 single “Lilac” became a streaming phenomenon, later becoming the fastest song in Oricon history to reach 1 billion streams, and the band’s catalog has now surpassed 10 billion streams domestically. In 2024 the group also became the youngest Japanese band to headline a stadium tour and repeated as Japan Record Award winners. In 2025, Mrs. GREEN APPLE won Best Artist at Music Awards Japan, staged an original entertainment show called “CEREMONY” at K Arena Yokohama, released the 10th-anniversary best album “10,” held an anniversary live show titled “FJORD,” and toured five domes nationwide with “BABEL no TOH.”
With a new full album due September 30, Mrs. GREEN APPLE looks set to keep up its pace heading into the back half of the year.
