Suzu Hashisako, a member of the nine-member idol group Angerme, announced on September 12 that she will graduate from both the group and Hello! Project following its spring 2027 tour.
The news was revealed on stage during the opening afternoon show of Angerme’s autumn tour, “Angerme 2026 Autumn Furinkazan Ni,” held at the Wako Civic Cultural Center Sun Azalea in Saitama Prefecture. Addressing fans directly, Hashisako said, “There’s still plenty of time left, so I want to keep giving my all to Angerme’s activities.”
Group leader Suzuran Ise explained that Hashisako had specifically wanted to share the news “in her own voice, directly in front of everyone,” which is why the announcement was made on stage rather than through a press release. Ise added, “I want Suzu-chan to be herself until the very end, laughing and enjoying things as usual.”
In a statement posted on Angerme’s official website, Hashisako reflected on her decade with Hello! Project as a source of invaluable experience, writing that she wants to “know more of the world.” She continued, “For that reason, I want to step away from my beloved Angerme, place myself in a new environment outside of entertainment, gain new experiences, and find a new dream.”
Who is Suzu Hashisako?
Suzu Hashisako joined Angerme in July 2019 at age 13, becoming the group’s youngest member at the time after training as a Hello Pro Kenshuusei (Hello! Project trainee). Angerme itself traces back to 2009, when it was formed around members of Hello Pro Egg. The group debuted in May 2010 under the name Smileage with the single “Yumemiru 15-sai” (“15-Year-Old Who Dreams”), and won the Best New Artist award at the 52nd Japan Record Awards later that year. It was renamed Angerme in December 2014. Founding leader Ayaka Wada graduated from both the group and Hello! Project at Nippon Budokan in June 2019, and the lineup has continued to change since. Angerme currently consists of nine members: Suzuran Ise, Yukine Tamenaga, Suzu Hashisako, Rin Kawana, Wakana Matsumoto, Yuki Hirayama, Sachiho Shimoitani, Hana Goto, and Momoha Nagano.
Hashisako is set to continue performing with Angerme through the group’s spring 2027 tour before her graduation.

Another one bites the dust — but can we talk about how wild it is that this kid joined at thirteen and is only now, ten years later, deciding to go see what the rest of the world looks like? Honestly, good for her. Hello! Project runs on this beautiful, brutal rhythm where members cycle in and out like clockwork, and the fandom has gotten remarkably good at treating graduations as bittersweet send-offs instead of tragedies — which is exactly the right way to handle it. I just hope whatever she does next lets her actually enjoy being in her twenties instead of staying frozen as ’15-sai’ forever like that old debut single.
