Amika (あみか), 21, a former member of the mixed-gender YouTuber group Four Eight 48 (フォーエイト48), has opened up about her breakup with her ex-partner Amariza (アマリザ), 25, saying reconciliation between the two is not happening.
Amika made the comments during an appearance on fellow YouTuber Nakamachi JP’s (中町JP) channel, “Nakamachi Junpei no Maji Yotteru wa!!,” in a video posted on August 21. Four Eight 48, the group Amika belonged to, ended its activities on June 23, 2026.
Amika and Amariza first revealed they were dating in a Four Eight 48 video published in January 2024, at which point they said they had already been a couple for two years. In July 2026, the pair separately announced their breakup through their Instagram Stories.
Asked directly why the relationship ended, Amika hesitated before answering. “Because it was a relationship with marriage in mind, as we both grew, we started to feel like we had been a bit immature,” she said. She added that being in the relationship may have cost the pair certain work opportunities they might have had individually.
When Nakamachi suggested that marrying and launching a joint “Amiriza” couple channel could have opened up new work, Amika admitted, “Honestly, I thought about that a little.” But she said it was the relationship’s seriousness that ultimately ended it: “We really did consider marriage for real, so it’s precisely because it wasn’t a half-hearted relationship that we broke up.” She described their growing apart as the result of “an accumulation of small things.” According to the report, Amika also made clear that getting back together with Amariza is “not happening.”
