Japanese model and television personality Michopa (みちょぱ), whose real name is Miyu Ikeda, announced on Instagram on July 17 that she has given birth to her first child, a baby boy.
“A small new member joined our family the other day! He’s a healthy baby boy with a full head of hair,” Michopa wrote alongside a photo of the newborn. She added that life at home with the baby has already begun, saying, “We’re still getting used to the new routine, but I hope our whole family can enjoy raising him together while protecting him for the rest of his life.” She also thanked fans for their support throughout her pregnancy, writing, “I’m filled with gratitude that I was able to give birth safely and that he was born healthy,” and asked for continued warm support going forward.
Her husband, model Shito Okura, shared the news on his own Instagram the same day. “Our first child, a baby boy, was born into our family. Both mother and child are healthy,” he wrote, thanking his family and friends for their support and expressing gratitude to Michopa for “working so hard” through the pregnancy and delivery. He added that he plans to work hard both professionally and at home as a new father.
