Japanese idol group ZOCX announced on its official X account that member Kanako Senga (戦慕かなの), who has already been sitting out events due to poor health, is now out of contact with the group entirely. As a result, all upcoming events will go on with the remaining five members.
According to the group’s statement, future ZOCX appearances will feature Seiko Omori (大森靖子), Aimi Tao (荒綪あいみ), Mayu Chitsubaki (千椎真夢), Tenkoku3myuhime (天國3ゆ姫), and Nekonekoneko Hau (猫猫猫はう). The group added, “Once she is feeling better and able to return, we will make sure she has an environment where she can work without added strain. We appreciate your continued support for ZOCX.”
Senga’s health issues had already forced changes to her schedule this month. Her solo mini live, “Kanako Senga Mini One-Man Live 2026 September,” originally set for September 7 at Tokyo Kinema Club, was postponed due to her condition.
Who is ZOCX?
ZOCX traces its roots to ZOC, a group formed in September 2018 with singer-songwriter Seiko Omori serving as its “accomplice” and creative lead. The group paused activity in mid-2020 following a member departure, then regrouped the following month to perform at “@JAM ONLINE FESTIVAL.” ZOC went on to make its major-label debut on avex trax and released its first album, “PvP,” in June of that cycle. The group was renamed METAMUSE in 2022, reverted to the ZOC name in 2023, and took on its current name, ZOCX, in January 2024. Kanako Senga has been a member throughout the group’s various eras and also performs as a soloist.
