LiSA to Sing Theme Song ‘Sofilia’ for Snow Man’s Daisuke Sakuma Film

Japanese singer LiSA will perform the theme song for “Matching TRUE LOVE,” a psychological thriller film set for release in Japan on September 25, it was announced this week.

The song, titled “Sofilia,” is an original composition combining the Greek words for “you” and “philia,” meaning love. LiSA said the title reflects an answer to the “true love” explored in the film, adding, “I hope that Wakana and Tomu, who met under such unfortunate stars, can believe in the truth in their hearts.”

“Matching TRUE LOVE” is the sequel to the 2024 film “Matching,” both written and directed by Eisuke Uchida. The story follows a group of people whose pasts are exposed after they join a “matching tour” at a resort hotel on a southern island, triggering a deadly game. Actress Tao Tsuchiya stars as the protagonist Wakana, while Daisuke Sakuma (佐久間大介) of the boy band Snow Man plays Tomu.

A teaser trailer featuring a portion of “Sofilia” has already been released on YouTube ahead of the film’s theatrical debut.
