Hiroyuki Takagishi (高岸宏行), one half of the comedy duo Timondi (ティモンディ), announced on July 30 that he has divorced actress Miyu Sawai (沢井美優). The announcement was made through a post on his personal X (formerly Twitter) account.
According to the report, the couple’s marriage lasted three years and nine months. Their first child was born in 2024. Takagishi’s statement did not disclose a reason for the split, but he said that he and Sawai intend to continue raising their child together with care, writing that they will “continue to pour love into” their child going forward.

I’ll say this for Takagishi: the statement was refreshingly drama-free — no vague hints, no cryptic subtext for tabloids to dissect for three news cycles, just a clean, adult "we’re done, but we’re still parents together." Japanese entertainment divorces usually come wrapped in either total silence or a slow-drip scandal; this is neither, and honestly it’s a relief. Comedians get roasted for their marriages ending almost as a genre convention at this point, but co-parenting announced with actual warmth deserves credit instead of side-eye. I just hope the tabloids let this one stay boring.
