Hikaru Reveals His Annual Income and Net Worth, Leaving Friend Dr. Mikiya Takasu Stunned

Popular YouTuber Hikaru got candid about his finances in a collaboration video with plastic surgeon and fellow YouTuber Mikiya Takasu, revealing an annual income of roughly 96 million yen and total assets that could reach as high as 10 billion yen.

The video, titled “[Collab] I Visited My Best Friend Hikaru’s House and Asked Him All Sorts of Questions,” was uploaded to Takasu’s official channel on October 5, 2026. The two creators, who call each other close friends despite having largely different audiences, used the collab as a chance for Takasu to properly introduce Hikaru to his own viewers.

Takasu opened with a direct question: “What’s your annual income?” Hikaru, after confirming the question was about his personal earnings, explained that he receives executive compensation from two companies, totaling about 8 million yen a month. “Times that by 12, and it’s 96 million yen,” he said, adding that his monthly compensation used to be around 5 million yen before being raised as the companies’ profits grew. He summed up his current annual income as “roughly 100 million yen.”

Hikaru also said he doesn’t spend much on his personal life, instead funneling his earnings into real estate and business investments. When Takasu followed up by asking about his total assets, Hikaru answered that the amount he could convert to cash immediately was “realistically 6 billion yen,” and that including less certain holdings, the figure could climb to “maybe 10 billion yen.”

Visibly impressed, Takasu remarked, “That’s amazing… If you just put that into investment trusts, the passive income would come rolling in and you could live in luxury for the rest of your life. But you still work — that’s amazing. I really respect that.” Hikaru responded simply that work is what he enjoys most.

Who is Hikaru?

Hikaru is one of Japan’s best-known YouTubers, having built a massive following with elaborate money-themed stunts, pranks, and giveaway videos. Beyond content creation, he has expanded into business ventures and investments, a path that has reportedly made him one of the wealthier figures in Japan’s creator economy. Mikiya Takasu, who hosted the collab, is a cosmetic surgeon and YouTuber himself, known for running his own clinic-focused channel alongside his family’s cosmetic surgery business.

Honey, a YouTuber casually dropping "somewhere between 6 and 10 billion yen" like it’s his shoe size is peak 2026 content, and I am obsessed. This is exactly the genre Japanese internet culture can’t get enough of right now: the humble-brag money reveal, dressed up as friendly banter between two guys who happen to be worth more than some prefectures. Takasu playing the wide-eyed straight man asking "why even work" is doing a lot of narrative heavy lifting here, because the real answer — that grinding is the actual addiction for these self-made guys — is way less relatable than the number itself. Japanese viewers eat this up not because they’re jealous, but because it’s aspirational theater; everyone gets to do the math on their own salary for a minute and feel something. I’ll say this much: at least he’s investing in real estate instead of, I don’t know, buying a tiger. Growth, people.
