Hikaru (34), a popular YouTuber known for his diverse and entertaining videos, updated his YouTube channel on July 24 and revealed the total assets of his business group. The astounding figure amounted to approximately 13.765 billion yen (about 917 million USD).

Breakdown: 2.2 Billion Yen in Cash, 7.5 Billion Yen in Stocks, 4 Billion Yen in Real Estate

In the video, entrepreneur Hiroyuki Irie—known as Hikaru’s right-hand man—disclosed the group’s financial data. The breakdown includes 2.265 billion yen in cash (approximately 151 million USD), 7.5 billion yen in stocks (about 500 million USD), and 4 billion yen in real estate (around 267 million USD).

In response to these numbers, Hikaru commented, “If you add another 500 million yen or so, it comes to around 14 billion yen (roughly 933 million USD). That’s pretty amazing,” praising the achievement. Irie also stated, “I’d like to add another zero to this figure,” hinting at future ambitions.

YouTube Revenue Is Only a Small Portion

Hikaru had previously disclosed his annual revenue in December of last year, stating that income from YouTube-related activities, including ad revenue and sponsorships, was 850 million yen (approximately 56.7 million USD). However, he emphasized that this accounts for only a small portion of his overall income.

The Hikaru Group operates multiple businesses, generating around 300 million yen (about 20 million USD) from apparel, 650 million yen (roughly 43.3 million USD) from cosmetics, and significant earnings from other ventures such as horse meat sales. The group’s total annual revenue is said to reach approximately 20 billion yen (about 1.33 billion USD).

Diversified Business Expansion

Currently, Hikaru serves as CEO of Shuplus Inc., overseeing his YouTube ventures. He is also a board member and majority shareholder of ReZARD Inc., which manages businesses in apparel, cosmetics, and hospitality. In October 2024, he assumed the role of CEO at Stone Market Inc.

Among his notable ventures is “Hotel 385” in Miyako Island and a horse meat business, both of which stem from his personal interests. A notable success includes a rutile bracelet released in January 2024, which generated 150 million yen (approximately 10 million USD) in sales and sold out again in a later re-release, demonstrating strong product appeal.

Viewer Reactions

Fans responded to the asset disclosure with astonishment, commenting, “This is just insane,” and “It’s like real-life Momotaro Dentetsu!” TV personality Daikichi Hakata had also previously referred to Hikaru as a “massively wealthy YouTuber with extraordinary subscriber numbers.”

Looking Ahead

In a year-end video, Hikaru shared his ambitious goal of reaching 100 billion yen (approximately 6.67 billion USD). At the current pace of business growth, this objective may be within reach.

As a pioneer in the YouTuber industry and a successful entrepreneur, Hikaru continues to expand his influence across various fields. His latest asset revelation not only entertained viewers but also shed light on the vast economic scale built by a single individual. Attention is now turning to his future ventures and potential milestones.
