Number_i Signs to Atlantic Records, Reveals Triple A-Side Single ‘REBON / BUGS LIFE / DIGITAL GIRL’

Number_i has announced their 4th single, a triple A-side release titled “REBON / BUGS LIFE / DIGITAL GIRL,” set to drop on September 23 through Atlantic Records. It marks the group’s first release since signing a label deal with the American record company in May.

The title and tracklist were unveiled on July 21 at Osaka-jo Hall during “Numbers Ur’26,” Number_i’s first-ever fan meeting event. Members had been teasing fans ahead of the reveal, saying, “We hope you’ll look forward to finding out what kind of songs these are until September.”

“REBON” serves as a sequel to the group’s signature track “BON,” carrying the message of “an updated Number_i ready to take on the world.” “BUGS LIFE,” produced by member Junta Jinguji, began development from the concept of exploring “what digital means” and was already released digitally on July 13. The third title track, “DIGITAL GIRL,” was written during the group’s trip to Los Angeles this spring and touches on themes of satirizing digital society while believing in genuine love.

The single will be available in five formats: a regular edition and two limited editions (A and B) that each include a Blu-ray or DVD, with each edition featuring a different member-produced coupling track. A special website for the single has also launched, designed with an early-internet aesthetic.

The announcement follows Number_i’s February deal with WME, one of the world’s largest talent agencies, and their May signing with Atlantic Records for U.S. music production.

Who is Number_i?
