ABEMA has announced a special 17-day streaming event called “ABEMA de Hololive: Midsummer Watch Party,” airing past concerts from Hololive Production talents every night from July 15 to July 31, according to Real Sound Tech. The lineup includes solo concerts from Suisei Hoshimachi (星街すいせい) and Pekora Usada (兎田ぺこら), two of the VTuber agency’s most recognizable streamers.
Each of the 17 concerts will air once nightly at 10 p.m. Japan time, exclusively for subscribers to ABEMA Premium or the ad-supported ABEMA Premium plan. Viewers can use ABEMA’s comment feature to react alongside other users during the broadcasts. Subscribers to either plan also get unlimited on-demand access to a wider library of 23 Hololive-related concert films, including the 17 titles featured in the event.
The schedule opens on July 15 with Towa Tokoyami’s debut solo live “Break your ×××,” followed on July 16 and 17 by two Watame Tsunomaki solo concerts from Zepp Tokyo and Tokyo Garden Theater. July 18 brings the group Blue Journey’s first live “Yoake no Uta,” while July 19 and 20 feature hololive 5th Generation’s “Twinkle 4 You” and hololive IDOL PROJECT’s debut live “Bloom,”. HOLOSTARS gets three nights, July 21 through 23, including its 5th anniversary concert, before Okayu Nekomata’s first solo live airs on July 24. Mori Calliope’s major debut concert “New Underworld Order” screens July 25, followed by hololive English’s first concert “Connect the World” on July 26 and the two-day “hololive Summer 2023 3DLIVE Splash Party” on July 27 and 28. The event closes with Pekora Usada’s first solo live “Usagi the MEGAMI!!” on July 29, then Suisei Hoshimachi’s first and second solo concerts, “STELLAR into the GALAXY” and “Shout in Crisis,” on July 30 and 31.
ABEMA Premium costs 1,180 yen per month, while the ad-supported ABEMA Premium plan costs 680 yen per month, both tax included.
Who are Suisei Hoshimachi and Pekora Usada?
Suisei Hoshimachi and Pekora Usada are two of the most prominent talents at Hololive Production, the VTuber talent agency behind the event. Suisei is known for her singing career, having held the two solo concerts “STELLAR into the GALAXY” and “Shout in Crisis” that are part of the ABEMA lineup. Pekora, whose solo debut concert “Usagi the MEGAMI!!” is also featured in the watch party, is one of Hololive’s most-watched streamers. Hololive Production talents regularly perform everything from daily livestreams to large-scale concerts like the ones being rebroadcast in this event.
