Takasu Clinic Boss Vows ‘Criminal Complaint’ Against YouTuber Daisuke Hori in Escalating Online Feud

Social Media

A war of words between cosmetic surgery mogul Katsuya Takasu and YouTuber Daisuke Hori has escalated into legal threats, with Takasu announcing on October 27 that his lawyer has “completed preparations” for a criminal complaint against Hori.

The feud traces back to October 23, when Hori appeared on the YouTube talk show “ReHacQ” and said he wanted to face Katsuya Takasu’s son, Mikiya Takasu (director of Takasu Clinic’s Nagoya branch), in a bout at the MMA event BreakingDown. According to Hori, Mikiya’s side turned the challenge down, citing the risk that an injury could stop him from performing surgeries at the clinic. Hori responded that avoiding exactly that outcome had been his goal all along.

Two days later, Katsuya Takasu posted on X that “protecting my precious son from fools who try to hurt him is a father’s duty,” adding that if Hori ever actually went through with it, “you won’t get off easy.” Hori replied that Takasu had nothing to worry about, since he had no intention of following through.

The exchange flared up again on October 26, when Hori, responding to viewer comments during a livestream, called Takasu an “impression zombie” — Japanese internet slang for someone who manufactures controversy purely to farm views and engagement — and suggested that if Takasu had something to say, he should send a direct message instead of posting in public.

Takasu fired back the same day, quote-tweeting a clip of Hori’s comments with the message “Quiet down, you noisy baby mouse! Watch yourself.” The following day, he escalated further, announcing that his legal team had confirmed a criminal complaint was ready to file and that he had given the order to proceed, adding, “Kacchan works like lightning” — using his own nickname.

Author’s Comment

A multimillionaire plastic surgeon and a YouTuber are threatening each other with lawyers over a cage match that was never actually going to happen. I want you to sit with that for a second. In Japan, this is basically a national pastime now: someone gets clipped saying something spicy, the other side announces "legal action," and everyone waits to see if a single lawsuit ever actually gets filed. Spoiler: it usually doesn’t. The "impression zombie" jab is the real headline here, honestly — it’s become the go-to insult for anyone suspected of manufacturing beef for clicks, and nothing proves the accusation right quite like responding to it with a four-tweet thread about your lawyer’s response time. I’ll believe "criminal complaint" when I see a court date, Kacchan.
