On August 2, the man at the center of the controversy, Taichi Saito, issued a public statement. While Saito admitted to engaging in an extramarital affair and apologized, he firmly denied the accusations of non-consensual sex and other forms of sexual misconduct raised by the alleged victim, calling them “completely baseless.”
Saito Acknowledges Affair but Denies Assault Allegations
In his statement, Saito expressed remorse for his actions, saying, “I deeply regret my affair with the other woman and sincerely apologize to Yurinya.” However, he strongly refuted the woman’s claims, stating, “I categorically deny the following allegations: non-consensual sex, rape, use of sleeping drugs, choking, and sex acts involving bleeding. These are all unfounded lies.”

On August 1, Yurinya updated her Instagram to address the situation, admitting that reports claiming her partner impregnated a member of her idol group “Pretty Chuu” were “largely true.” She apologized and added, “I learned about this incident for the first time through public posts. I was shocked.”
She went on to say, “Right now, I’m prioritizing the mental and physical well-being of the affected member and doing everything I can as a producer to support her.” Yurinya also made a firm declaration: “As a human being, I strongly condemn the actions of Taichi Saito and hereby declare that I will have no further involvement with him.”
Alleged Victim Speaks Out
The woman involved, believed to be the alleged victim, reportedly wrote on social media, “I hope people understand that I never had any feelings for him. I simply wanted to be an idol. That’s all.” She also stated, “I’ve filed a police report,” indicating that legal action is being pursued.
