Satomi, the oldest member of the popular six-member YouTuber group “Strawberry Prince (SutoPuri)”, known for “singing” and “gaming” videos, has officially announced a temporary suspension of his group activities.
Details of the Announcement
On July 13, 2025 (Japan time), Satomi released an official video on YouTube where he made three major announcements:
- Release of his second full album
- A solo live concert at Yokohama Arena
- Suspension of his group activities until late September
The suspension period will start on July 14 and is planned to continue until his solo concert, “Satomi ONE MAN LIVE 2025”, scheduled for September 27 and 28 at Yokohama Arena.
However, Satomi explained that he will continue to participate in projects and video productions that are already in progress, clarifying that his suspension mainly applies to major group activities.
Reasons Behind the Suspension
Satomi stated that he had begun to feel a disconnect between his role as a member of the group and his personal identity, saying that he could no longer ignore this feeling.
He also revealed that fellow members encouraged him to take a break, saying, “It might be good to stop and rest for a while.” With the group approaching its 10th anniversary next year, he decided that this would be the right time for each member to reflect on their future paths.
Satomi’s Message to Fans
Reflecting on the past nine years, Satomi expressed his gratitude, saying, “There were both happy times and difficult moments, but I’ve made it this far thanks to the support of fans and my fellow members.”
He also asked fans for their understanding as he takes time to “seriously face my own heart and my next steps.” Notably, he assured fans that his solo activities—including video uploads and solo live performances—will continue as usual during this period.
